We are excited to incorporate the Via Verde system of Portugal into our wedding plans. Via Verde offers a convenient and eco-friendly way for our guests to travel, ensuring that your journey is smooth and sustainable.
What is Via Verde?
Via Verde is an electronic toll collection system implemented in Portugal. It allows drivers to pass through toll booths without stopping by using a transponder device mounted on the vehicle's dashboard. This system helps reduce travel time and makes your journey more efficient.
Using Via Verde to Reach Our Venue
To make your trip as seamless as possible, we recommend using the Via Verde system. Most rental vehicle companies offer Via Verde transponders as an option for a small fee. If you do not have a Via Verde transponder, you will need to stop at toll booths or settle your payment later at an appropriate entity.
How to Use Via Verde
1. Rent a Car with Via Verde: When booking your rental car, ask for a vehicle equipped with a Via Verde transponder.
2. Follow Via Verde Signs: Use the lanes marked "Via Verde" at toll booths.
3. Automatic Toll Payment: The toll fees will be automatically charged to your rental agreement.
