The Davidson County Historical Museum maintains a permanent collection highlighting the natural and cultural history of Davidson County. The collection and other Museum resources are made available through regularly scheduled exhibits, special programming and through various digital platforms, including online access to the collections database. The Museum is housed in a Greek Revival building and features a still-intact second-floor courtroom with its judge's bench, jury box and prisoner's holding cage.

A bit like a mini Williamsburg, Virginia, Old Salem is a living-history museum showcasing the culture of an 18th-century Moravian settlement. About a 24 minute drive from downtown Lexington and just a stone's throw from downtown Winston-Salem.
Established in the year 2010, A/perture Cinema now has 3 screening rooms and annually provides more than 4, 000 film screenings and events per year. The focus is on showcasing independent, foreign, documentary, and local and festival films, but the cinema also screens a selection of more popular movies throughout the year.
A staple of Badin or Albemarle area, the Badin Road Drive-in Theater has been around since the mid 1950’s. It features the latest movies in theaters and can accommodate up to 400 cars. Its best for first dates, a night with friends, or even family. The gates open at 6:30 pm and the movie starts when it’s dark. The drive-in is also open on Sundays.
It's quite a hike from Lexington, but this is one of Julie and Ben's favorite places. Whitewater rafting, canoeing, high-ropes courses, climbing walls, hiking and mountain biking trails, and a brewery — this is a guaranteed fun day in the great outdoors. Looking for fun in the big city? Charlotte is the second largest city in the Southeast after Atlanta and is currently the home of Julie and Ben! The city has a first class arts center, museums, is home to the Nascar Hall of Fame, and features thousands of great breweries and restaurants. Ask Julie or Ben for recommendations.
Kernersville is a small town about 20 minutes from the wedding venue. It's historic downtown is small but is home to a host of cute shops, cafés and eateries that are well worth the trip.
