Julia and her roommate, Maddie, decided to start Bible study on their dorm floor in February of 2020 (great timing, we know). But, in walks Reid (who we had never met because he was so busy with football in the fall) and he says, "hi, I'm Reid Walker". And the rest is history...just kidding. To be honest, Julia was completely oblivious to anything that may have been going on.

Then COVID hits and, like the rest of the world, our Bible study moves onto Zoom and Reid becomes one of the few faithful attendees. Fast forward to the fall, the Bible study starts back up again and something incredible happens to K-State football...Deuce Vaughn. Not only did he do great things for the team, he also created a reason for Julia and Reid to start texting back and forth as Julia was his small group TA in his LEAD212 class. After a couple of months (once the football season was over), Reid asked Julia on a date, two days later it was official, and then the rest really is history. Two mullets later, on February 19th, Reid asked Julia to marry him on the steps of Anderson Hall (the building it took them the longest to find the building year carved on throughout their many walks on campus).
