Peter and Julia met at Whiskey Row in Nashville, Tennessee. . . .

After months of keeping in touch via Whatsapp while Peter was playing soccer in Germany, Peter invited Julia to visit him in Berlin. The two spent three days touring the city and falling in love over currywurst and doner kebab . . .

Due to the onset of the pandemic, Julia and Peter were not able to reunite until four months later when Peter came out to visit her in New York for the first time. Slowly but surely, Julia was able to convince Peter that New York was more than just pizza, bagels, and people with an attitude . . .

Eager to show Julia his roots, Peter flew her back to the West Coast with him where they spent time getting to know his family, friends, and what would soon become their favorite spot - the Oregon Coast . . .

Just moments after this photo was taken at the beach, Peter told Julia he loved her for the first time . . . .

After months of flying coast to coast to see each other, Peter and Julia took a trip to Punta Cana after Julia finished her second year of law school . . .

Then the two spent the next year of their relationship flying back and forth from Pittsburgh to New York while Julia finished her last year of law school and Peter got his Master's Degree. Many Condados tacos were consumed over the course of that year.

And before they knew it, they were celebrating Julia's graduation. She could not have done it without his support!

. . . And after over two years of long distance, Peter received his Master's from Pitt and moved to Astoria with Julia to finally live in the same city.

Over the course of the next year, Peter and Julia loved seeing each other every day and making plenty more memories together.

Then, within 24 hours of each other, the two found out that Peter had gotten into medical school and Julia had passed the bar. They were grateful to be able to celebrate with each other and with family and friends.

And then, just before Julia's birthday, Peter gave her the best birthday surprise. He successfully surprised the most difficult person to get anything by. The two got to celebrate their new engagement in their favorite place, Astoria Park.
