It feels as though Joseph and I have known each other forever, like our lives have always been intertwined, but we became closer in 2019 when his family moved back to Oregon and started attending our church. During those few months, we quickly became friends, and our connection deepened. When he had to move again, I told him it was best if we stayed just friends—never realizing our story was far from over.

Even as life pulled us in different directions, the bond we shared lingered. After years of staying in touch and wondering what could have been, I finally mustered the courage to tell Joseph how I felt. To my surprise, he felt the same way all along.

In 2023, when Joseph came home from Bible college during a break, we crossed paths at a youth conference. On the final night, something changed. As our eyes met, the connection we once had reignited, and Joseph made his move. From that moment, everything began to fall into place.

What started as a simple friendship has blossomed into something extraordinary—first as boyfriend and girlfriend, then as fiancés, and now, soon-to-be husband and wife. Our journey hasn’t always been easy, but it’s been guided every step of the way by God’s hand. Through all the highs and lows, He has written our story, and for that, I am forever grateful. ❤️
