Saturday, December 3, 2016— two worlds intertwined and became inseparable.

Jeremy and Julia met at Catawba College in Salisbury, NC, during the fall of 2016 when Jeremy was a sophomore and Julia was a freshman. Both as student-athletes and Communication Arts majors. They met in one of their many classes together when Julia caught Jeremy’s eye and he set his sights on her. Even going as far to setting up a “study session” just to talk with her and exchange contact information—Jeremy didn’t study much. After a few months of hanging out and getting to know one another better, Jeremy mustered up the courage to ask Julia to be his girlfriend by walking to her dorm and the rest is history.

Throughout college Jeremy and Julia supported each other as much as they could since football and soccer seasons happened at the same time. While schedules were busy, they always found time to hang out—especially on the weekends. Fast forward to after college, Julia moved back home to Greensboro while Jeremy stayed in Salisbury. Though a short distance, it was an adjustment only seeing each other on the weekends. It lasted 7 months before Jeremy decided to move to Greensboro to be with Julia. Over the next 3 years, Jeremy and Julia watched each other grow—maybe one more than the other—from the teenagers they were when they met to the adults they are now. Taking on the challenges of adulting together instead of the young, wild and free lifestyle from college. They even got a dog named Nova—the ultimate adult move.

This is what lead to December 1, 2023—the proposal.

After 6 years and 363 days, Julia showed up for what she thought was an early birthday dinner for Jeremy. In actuality, it was a surprise proposal. Surrounded by both of their families, after what felt like an eternity (for Julia), Jeremy got down on a knee in front of letters illuminating the phrase ‘Marry Me’ and presented the ring. Julia said YES!

Jeremy and Julia are excited to be ending one chapter and starting another chapter of life together by tying the knot. They look forward to celebrating their love with you on November 2, 2024.
