Semi-formal / cocktail attire. Feel free to dress up, but don’t stress about black tie. October in Cincinnati can be chilly, especially in the evening, so bring a jacket or wrap if you'll be stepping outside.

October tends to be mild but unpredictable—think sunny 60s during the day and cooler 40s–50s in the evening. We recommend checking the forecast a few days before the wedding.

Both the ceremony and reception will be indoors.

We recommend arriving at least 15–20 minutes early to get seated comfortably before the ceremony begins at 5pm. Heads up: The River Roots Festival will be happening in Cincinnati that weekend, which could mean extra traffic or road closures near downtown. Please give yourself some extra travel time—especially if you're staying at the hotel across the river in covington, or are unfamiliar with the area or parking!

While we love your kids, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration outside of children in the wedding party.

Plenty! Walk the Suspension Bridge, grab a drink in Over-the-Rhine, visit the Cincinnati Art Museum, or explore Mainstrasse Village in Covington. Additionally, America's River Roots is a signature event about steam boats scheduled for October 08-12, 2025 on the Cincinnati, Covington and Newport riverfronts.
