Julia and Brennan crossed paths… digitally.

On a mission to follow back everyone that followed her on Instagram, Julia made it to the b’s before giving up. The next day when a friend requested she follow their DJ Twitter account, Julia recognized one of their followers... It was one of the usernames she’d seen the night before. She clicked follow and moved on with her day.

Brennan thought nothing of a follow on Instagram, it was the second follow from the same girl within 24 hours that caught his attention. After charming Julia, Brennan asked her to be his girlfriend on March 31, 2016, and she said “sure”.

The rest is history.

Brennan & Julia hiked to the top of Hebron Falls, a beautiful waterfall in North Carolina.

On the 1.5 mile trek up to the falls, Brennan was oddly quiet (anyone who knows Brennan knows this is a rare occurrence), and Julia became suspicious. What Julia didn’t know was that Brennan had a ring burning a hole in his pocket.


Once they found a nice spot for a snack, perched on a boulder in the middle of Boone Fork, Brennan popped the question and Julia immediately said yes! On July 26, 2023, after 7 years together, Julia & Brennan were finally engaged!!

Although the forecast had not predicted rain, Julia and Brennan hiked the last 2.5 miles of their 5 mile loop in the pouring rain. Cold, wet, and tired, they were the happiest hikers on the trail.

Rain on your wedding day is good luck; it signifies that your marriage will last.
