This scenic driving loop has many places to stop for a hike or enjoy beautiful overlooks. This is located in The Great Smokies National Park, just outside of Gatlinburg. The welcome picnic is located on a portion of this trail.
Cades Cove

Cades Cove is the bride's favorite place in The Smokies! It is located within The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and features an 11-mile driving loop of historical cabins and churches. On this loop, there are multiple beautiful pull offs to explore pioneer buildings, hike trails, gaze at the beautiful valley, and learn about the history of a small portion of Appalachia. Bear sighting are almost expected in this portion of the park!
If you are looking for touristy destinations such as the Titanic Museum, The Island, or chain restaurants, Pigeon Forge is the place to go. Pigeon Forge is located north of Gatlinburg, and contains well known restaurants such as the Hard Rock Cafe, Paula Deen's, and Olive Garden. This area also has every gift shop known to man along with activities (mini golf, go carts).
