Grant's POV:
I still remember the first time I met Julia in 2022. My parents always said when you know you know. Well long story short I did not think I had a shot to get her attention besides telling her my name is Terry the first time we met. Thanks for the help Jack. That somehow worked, and over two years later I was down on one knee asking for her hand in marriage. In the two short years I have known Julia I always knew she was the one. That night of course I asked for her Snapchat first, then her number, and then I found myself shooting my shot by asking her to go on a date. One date led to another, and after hours of moped rides around Clemson she finally decided she was ready to give me a chance. One month turned into two, and time flies when your having fun. Although we had a ton of fun we also had adversity and change. Whether it was moving to another state, to graduating and trying to figure out what to do with my life, to the stress of finding a job, making sure Sadie was well taken care of, and the list goes on. One thing that stayed consistent was her passion and support that no matter what I did or where I lived she will stay supportive.
Well a couple years later I did what any other college graduate would do and joined the health insurance industry. Through all the ups and downs I always knew Julia was in my corner, and I could not think of a better blessing. God works in mysterious ways, and I would have never imagined such a perfect girl I’d spend the rest of my life with. Julia I love you forever and always, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you!
Julia's POV:
I'll never forget the first night that I met Grant. I had gone to meet up with a couple of my friends, Katie and Meredith, and some of their other friends in Clemson. When I got there, within 2 minutes of me showing up this blonde guy walked up to me, held out his hand, and says, "Hey, I'm Terry." Low and behold it was none other than Grant Tomlin. We spent the rest of that night hanging out together and with our friends and continued to SnapChat and text for a week or so before Grant asked me to go on a date. From that point on, we were pretty inseparable.
At the start of us hanging out and going on dates, we were taking it slow and trying to figure out where we wanted this relationship to go. In those moments, I was trying to tread lightly and be careful with both of our hearts, but consistently I felt more drawn to him every day. For several months, Grant was continuously patient and supportive until I finally decided that we had been going on dates and hanging out together for long enough and I wanted to be his girlfriend.
Over the past 2 years and over those 3 months of Grant being patient and taking me on dates before we made it official, he showed me many different qualities that made me want to date him and then eventually marry him. Grant is an incredibly patient, hard-working, confident, determined, consistent, thoughtful, humble, and joyful person. Anyone who knows him knows that he will give you the shirt off of his back, he is so selfless and kind.
Throughout our relationship, we've gotten to grow towards the Lord together in new ways. He has taught me so much in the fast 2 years that we have dated. He is the love of my life and reminds me so much of the unconditional love of God. I'm so excited to spend everyday for the rest of our lives saying our morning prayers and fishing off your bass boat - Grant, I can't wait to be your wife!
