Well, the internet is a crazy thing. In 2009, Julia was at a sleepover with her friends and cousins at her cousin Jason's house. What did we 13-year-olds do at that time? Play music and browse the unfiltered internet. There was a site at the time that has since been shut down (by law enforcement, probably) on which strangers could be connected without any identifying information (it's ok, mom). "Stranger: I hate how everyone asks my age, sex, and location. I wanna talk about something else! Me: ya same!" Stranger at the time was Mark. After a long chat during which we both lied about our age, we shared photos of one another. Before ending the chat and being separated forever, we became facebook friends and stayed connected there.
