After beginning his college career at Radford University, Hath soon became friends with a few members of the University’s club swim team. Although he transferred to nearby Virginia Tech to finish his degree, Hath continued to live in Radford. This gave him the opportunity to live with Jeremy Day leading him to become better friends with Christine (then Galley) Day.

Turn the clock ahead a couple of years. While looking to further her career as a neonatal intensive care nurse, Julia made the decision to move from her home in New Jersey to Washington D.C and pursue opportunities there. To get to know the area better, Julia began visiting her best friend since preschool, Christine Galley. Little did she know that this decision would change more than just her professional life.

On a Saturday in March 2019, Julia made plans to go to a St. Patty’s Day bar crawl in DC with Christine and her college friends. It just so happened that Hath was frequenting the same northern Virginia bars with the same group of friends. It was here that their planets aligned … or collided. With some liquid courage (shoutout to Dirty Bar), they were finally introduced. For the next few months they kept randomly running into each other and the rest is history.

A pandemic and months and many miles of a long distance relationship later, Julia finally made the permanent move to Washington D.C.. Fast forward 3 years. Julia and Hath are happily living together in a quaint little neighborhood in Arlington, VA. They travel every chance they get and are enjoying their time together in this season of their lives.

On a chilly January day in 2023, during an anniversary staycation planned by Hath, he asked Julia to spend forever with him at one of their favorite spots on the water.

And so, this next exciting chapter in our story together begins! Welcome to our journey. We are excited to share it with you!
