DIRECTIONS
Mount Ida is a large property with multiple entrances. To ensure you arrive at the right place, please use 6155 Rolling Rd S as the address and reference the following directions, provided by the venue as they advertise GPS may not be completely reliable. (We've had no trouble getting there though!) Please allow 30 minutes to travel from downtown Charlottesville.
Directions from Charlottesville
• On I-64, take exit 121 Scottsville/Charlottesville
• Head toward Scottsville onto Route 20 South (travel approx. 6-7 miles)
• Turn left onto Carter Mountain Road
• Turn immediate right onto Secretary’s Road
• Travel approx. 6 miles until you reach the second stop sign
• Take a Right onto Rolling Road Rt 620 for about 2 miles
• Look for the entrance on the Right. You will see a Red Barn, black fence, black gated entrance and a sign that says Water’s Edge.
TRANSPORTATION
We will be providing a shuttle for our guests to and from the wedding from the Omni Hotel in downtown Charlottesville, accessible from all hotels with reserved rooms for any of our guests to use.
The bus will arrive at 3:45 PM for pick-up on Water Street at the Omni Hotel and depart promptly at 3:55 PM, arriving at the venue at 4:30 PM. There will also be an early 9:00 PM exit from the venue back to the Omni Hotel as well as to the Hampton Inn and Suites then a final exit from the venue back to both hotels.
There is plenty of parking also available at the venue. Please note that ride sharing options (Uber, Lyft, etc) are not reliable.
AIRPORTS
The Charlottesville airport is CHO which services select airlines and cities.
For more options, consider Richmond, VA (RIC) (1.25 hours away) or Washington, DC (IAD) (2 hours away).
