Our Story...

Patrick's POV:

"I remember the first time I saw Julia—she was the prettiest girl in the room, with blonde hair and a light blue jacket. After our band finished playing, I headed to the bar and noticed that my brother was sitting next to her, presenting the perfect opportunity. Wanting to join the conversation, I walked up and asked, “Do we have any more drink tickets?” (Clearly, we were living the high life). My brother replied, “No, but she plays music too—she’s a singer.” We spent the rest of the night talking, and when I walked her and her friend to their car, I had a feeling I’d be seeing a lot more of her.

After our second date at a hockey game, I decided it was time to introduce her to my friends, so I invited her over to help decorate our Christmas tree. While I knew from the moment I met her that she was special, it was her ability to handle the antics of my friend group and family that made me truly fall in love. Her patience, sincerity, optimism, and genuine kindness showed me that she’s someone I can build, create, enjoy, endure, and thrive with for the rest of my life.

Thank you to all our guests for your support as we begin our married life together."

Julia's POV:

"The first time I saw Patrick was in a photograph that his band, Wallysburg, took together and put on Spotify. It was a Friday night and I somehow had off from work, which was rare, and my friend and I decided to head over to a local bar with live music downtown. She had mentioned she had been there before and that the bands playing that night were "actually really good". I quickly looked these bands up myself and not only did I think Wallysburg sounded incredible, but I found myself drawn to Patrick in the picture.

They were in the middle of playing their set and without associating the picture to Patrick, I saw him playing and knew that somehow we were going to meet that night. I had the pleasure of meeting his brother and band mates once they were finished performing, and I remember Patrick walking up to ask his brother- "Do we have any drink tickets left?". We were then introduced and I remember feeling right way that Patrick was really special. I also came to know later on that the "drink tickets" comment was a plot to come over and talk (haha). After talking all night and having the best time, I remember my friend telling me, "I think we'll definitely be seeing more of him".

On our first few dates, I felt like I had known Patrick my whole life. Once he met my friends and family, he fit right in and it made me fall for him even more. His intelligence, kindness, drive, humor, honesty and love for his family and friends made me fall in love with him so deeply and I am so happy to continue to build a life with him for the rest of our lives."
