Our Story

David and I met at SEEK, a big catholic conference for college students, held that year in St. Louis, Missouri. We Both went with a group of about 40-60 students from Our church, St Luke (where we are getting married). :)

Apparently he had noticed me prior to our first conversation, :) and one night leaving a Restaurant for dinner. We started talking first about accounting, because we both work in accounting, and then moved from work to friends and personal lives.

We parted ways and then, praise the Lord, David made a point to talk to me and stay near me for the remainder of the trip. The next day Ben Rector had a concert at the conference, we sat together and ended up bonding over guitar and music. :)

On the bus ride home he sat across the aisle from me, bold move, and then a friend decided to move(matchmaker) and we sat by each other. Here we shared about our Families, our Faith, and current going ons of our lives. We then Got off the Bus, and I thought David had left, turns out he just had to use the little boys room. So, I left., and frankly thought I would never see him again. "Wow, that was fun, flirting and getting to know the kind man, oh well, I guess it wasn't meant to be." I thought.

Turns out he remembered I worked at Roots on Monday Nights and he came in Every Monday night after that. After some flirty resteaps, and notes on cups, he asked me out on January 30th, and I said YES, of course! Then less than a month later we were official, and then about a month after that we said I love you. Then about 9 months Later he proposed!

We are both blown away at how beautifully the Lord brought us together! There are so many fun details I had to leave out in order to keep this short, But I will never get sick of sharing them and telling this story, that in and of itself gives glory to God. I spent so much of my life worried about my Vocation, and what the Lord wanted from me, and of course when the time came to say yes to David; to say yes to my vocation, there was nothing but peace. It was the easiest yes. It shows me even more how the Lord ALWAYS takes care of us. You can worry for years like I did, but God will take care of it all, and will guide you every step of the way.

David makes me a better Woman, he brings out the best in me, and draws me closer to God everyday. His beautiful devotion to God’s word, and the sacraments, and community has spilled over and filled me with the same. We are so excited to see what more the Lord will do with us and in us. We can't wait to enter into the covenant of marriage, with all of you there with us, praying for us, while we start this new Journey, striving to Love, and striving towards Heaven.
