Jake went to college at MSU and I went to Hope College in Holland, MI. After I graduated, I moved back to Lansing which is where I grew up. When I first moved back, I started working out at the gym Jake was working at. I thought of him as the cute gym boy! Some mutual friends told me to befriend him because we would be good together, but I didn't know how to do that without being awkward...so I didn't (#REGRETS but the Lord works in mysterious ways and it all worked out LOL)!! A few weeks into September of 2018, I was told Jake and I would be working the same job! And we did! We literally worked and lived the same life...he wasn't at the gym anymore...we both worked at this insurance company. We parked the same place, walked in behind each other, used the same hang out space...and I NEVER SAID HI (he didn't know about me at the time). Still, it is a wonder that our paths crossed later after all these missed attempts!

I ended up quitting that job and didn't think or see much of Jake after that point. In January, I was in a musical when a different mutual friend started telling me about Jake Fritz. I laughed and told him the story of how I 'stalked' Jake. He told me that we had to meet and bet we would be good friends or something more! On the closing night of the show, our friend introduced us. It was incredible! We talked for about 5-10 minutes and I walked away feeling like I just met someone who would be very significant to me. A week later we went on our first date and the rest is history!
