On April 1, 2023, Josh and Jules met at a bar in Trolley Square, Delaware, thanks to their friends, Milena and Vince. Jules had agreed to join Milena for a night of music, dancing, and fun, but Milena had been hyping up Josh for weeks. “He’s hilarious! He’s perfect for you!” Milena insisted. Jules wasn’t convinced but decided to go along with it. When Jules walked into the bar, she spotted Milena and Vince right away, with Josh standing nearby, rocking a backwards hat and tight jeans that seemed to scream, I’m ready for a 2000s boy band reunion. “Hey, I’m Josh,” he grinned. “I’m really good at two things: dancing terribly and making people laugh. You’ve been warned.” Jules laughed. “Well, I’m really good at surviving bad dancing, so this should be fun.” The night quickly turned into a chaotic mix of bad dance moves, spilled drinks, and laughter. Josh was tearing up the dance floor with his signature awkward moves, and Jules couldn’t help but laugh at how carefree he was. Then, the real competition began: Mario Kart. “I’m basically a Mario Kart champion,” Josh declared with confidence. Naturally, Jules had to test that claim—and after a few rounds, she completely smoked him. Josh, looking betrayed by his own controller, said, “Okay, okay, you’re a way better driver than I expected. But that’s just because my jeans are too tight to let me race properly.” Jules smirked. “Yeah, sure. Blame the jeans.” By the end of the night, they were both laughing so hard they could hardly breathe, still covered in spilled drinks, but having the time of their lives. Josh grinned, “So, second date? No tight jeans, just bad dancing, worse jokes, and me trying to win at Mario Kart?” Jules laughed. “Deal. But if I see those jeans again, I’m running.” And that’s how Josh and Jules met—thanks to Milena and Vince, a backwards hat, questionable dance moves, and Jules totally schooling Josh at Mario Kart.
