Julia and Max's meeting was incredibly serendipitous. The couple met over New Year’s Eve. Max was down from Wausau in Milwaukee with his friend, Tyler, enjoying a New Year’s Eve party. It was only because of this that his profile appeared on a dating app for Julia. She took one look at his grin and knew he would change her life forever.

Enthralled that Max had connected with a Bucks Dancer, he eagerly suggested a date. Their first date was at View MKE, a restaurant filled with twinkle lights and a view of all of Milwaukee. Not wanting the date to end, Julia and Max went to Black Sheep in search of a night cap but we’re elated to find love at first sight.

Over the next year and a half, the pair spent weekends at each other’s homes as they were long distance. The pandemic was a blessing in disguise as Julia’s work from home job allowed her to spend weeks at a time working from Max's home.

While their love could span the 190 miles, they decided to meet in the middle (sort of) and buy their home together in West Bend. Their love grew through home renovations, their troublesome dog Kessler, and many nights by the fire.

Max proposed on July 1st, 2022 with the help of the maid of honor Jillian and the rest of Julia’s family. On her families land in Minoqua, Max got down on one knee as her boyfriend and stood up her fiance.

The two are so excited to start the next chapter in their lives together!
