Our Wedding

Julia and Jake’s journey began in October 2022, a time when fate decided to bring together two hearts meant to be. In a twist that’s as refreshing as it is charming, Julia was the one who made the first move. She asked Jake out, and from that very first date, the spark was undeniable. They clicked in a way that felt effortless—like two puzzle pieces finally finding their match.By March 2023, their connection had grown so strong that the next step felt natural: they moved in together. Some might say it was fast, but when you know, you just know. Living under the same roof only deepened their bond, confirming that they were building something truly special.One pivotal moment came when Jake met Julia’s mom. The three of them spent the day shopping together, and Jake proved to be a trooper through it all. That day solidified something important for Julia. Watching Jake’s kindness and easygoing nature shine through, she knew he was the one. He didn’t just win over her mom; he won her heart all over again.Fast forward to a magical birthday weekend for Julia in March 2024 at Smith Mountain Lake. Jake planned a proposal that brought together loved ones from near and far to share in their joy. Surrounded by the serene beauty of the lake and the warmth of family and friends, Jake got down on one knee and asked Julia to spend forever with him. It was a moment full of love, laughter, and happy tears, marking the start of their next big adventure together.Every love story has its unique rhythm, and theirs is one of serendipity, courage, and a love that feels both fated and fresh. Julia and Jake are thrilled to share their story with you and can’t wait to embark on the next chapters of their journey together.

As we have a large amount of guests coming from out of town, we would love to meet everyone downtown after rehearsal for some drinks and fun! We will arrive between 8:30 and 9:00 pm downtown at Sharkey’s.
