You can fly right into San Luis Obispo! Santa Barbara is another option that’s about a 1 1/2 hours or LA which is about 3 hours (VERY traffic dependent, LA you know.)
Where should I stay?
We recommend a couple of great options in the travel tab but there are lots more! There are a lot of great airbnbs in the area as well as many hotels. Morro Bay is about 20 minutes away and on the ocean so that opens up even more options!
What else should I do in town?
We suggest a couple of specific things on the things-to -do tab but it’s a lovely area with many vineyards if you’d like to go wine tasting, or lots of beautiful scenery if a hike is more your style. The famous Pacific Coast Highway is just a few miles away if you’d like admire the ocean (Highway 1).
Where should I park?
For the Ceremony: Parking at the Gardens is quite limited until 5:00pm. Please utilize street parking around the gardens. At 5:00pm the parking lot in front of the Gardens is available for you to use.
For the Reception: You can park in the lots adjacent to Petit Soleil or utilize street parking on Monterey Street or on Higuera Street.
What will the weather be like?
The weather in San Luis Obispo is quite nice in late March with an average in the late 60s. It can be chilly in the evenings and some of our reception seating is outside so it is a good idea to bring a light jacket or wrap to make sure you are comfortable.
