Julia and Brock’s story began with a simple Instagram post on February 25, 2022. Julia was preparing to move to Dallas after graduating college, tying up loose ends and selling her furniture before starting her first job. During a final night out at Chimy’s in Lubbock with her friends Sav G and Lea, they came across a photo Brock had just posted. Julia mentioned that she thought he was cute — not knowing that Sav and Lea were close friends with Brock’s sister, Brielle. A few messages were exchanged, and by chance, Julia even met Brielle that very evening.

Nearly three weeks passed before the next connection. While Julia was selling a blue couch on Facebook Marketplace, she received a message from Brock that read, “I’m not interested in the couch, but I’m interested in your number.” It was the beginning of something neither of them expected.

At the time, Brock was traveling frequently for work between Atlanta and Houston, and the two spent several weeks getting to know each other over text. They eventually found themselves at the Greenville St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Dallas on the same weekend. Surrounded by the energy of the crowd, they met for the first time in person — a moment made unforgettable when a playful attempt to put Julia on Brock’s shoulders resulted in a memorable tumble. Brock still says Julia “fell for him, literally.”

Soon after, Julia traveled to Houston for a work training, giving them the chance to go on their first official date. Everything fell into place naturally. Brock asked Julia to be his girlfriend after an MGK concert on June 12, 2022, and on July 3rd 2025, during a beautiful trip to Costa Rica, he asked her to marry him.
