It started when Julia's parents were at the same party as Joe in the summer of 2022. After a little bit of Joe talking to Julia's mom, she texted Julia telling her all about Joe and hyping him up. Julia told her mom to give Joe her number. The next day Joe texted Julia and they quickly made plans to have dinner the following day.

After closing out 317 Main Street in Farmingdale, the two instantly set up another date for the following week, this time at mini golf (this is where the lifelong mini golf competition began). After Joe won mini golf, they got ice cream and shared their first kiss in the doorway of Julia's house.

Just two days later, on August 12, 2022, after watching the sunset on our friend's boat, Joe asked Julia out, and the rest was history. On August 1, 2023, exactly one year after Joe first texted Julia, they moved into their first apartment together.

The two have used their standby benefits to travel over 100,000 miles to explore the world (the trips lasting mostly 48 hours or less). Their goal is to explore every professional baseball stadium and hockey arena. Their favorite places so far have been Charleston, Boston, Salt Lake City, Amsterdam, and Cabo. They even went to Dublin for the day!

On April 29, 2024, Joe got down on one knee and asked Julia to marry him at the Waterdrinker Tulip Festival.

They can’t wait to say “I DO” on October 16, 2025, surrounded by their closest friends and family.
