Austin and Julia met through work at Tesla. Austin worked in King of Prussia, and Julia was training there before moving to her permanent location. On her last day of training, she gave Austin a post-it note with her phone number and told him to keep in touch. Shortly after she arrived home that day, she had a text message that just read, "Austin." Her reply? "No, this is Julia."

Shortly thereafter, on April 28th, 2018, Austin invited Julia to meet up in Philadelphia. They talked for hours. The two began going on dates, and although Julia initially said she wasn't looking for anything serious, she found it anyway.

In 2021, Austin and Julia purchased their first home together, where they live with their three dogs, Lucy, Rey, and Willow. On June 6th, 2023, at the site of their first date, Austin asked Julia to marry him.
