We met at the beginning of our freshman year at West Point. Justus "needed help with math class," so he regularly asked the girl next door (Julia) to help. We quickly became best friends and made things official on September 28.

We celebrated our first West Point Christmas Dinner together. The first of many!

We fell in love over the course of our freshman year. Here we are taking ballroom dance lessons!

We soon discovered one of our favorite activities to do together... exploring New York City!

We escaped to the lake at Camp Buckner during summer training.

We got the chance to visit each other's families in Colorado and Oregon!

During our sophomore year, we had even more adventures, with lots of hikes ...

... New York City trips, ...

... and even getting scuba certified! In Pennsylvania... in November... in the hail. It was the coldest we have ever been.

During the summer after our sophomore year, we bounced around between military trainings and time together.

Then, we both affirmed our committment to serve in the Army after our time at West Point.

During our junior year, we balanced our school loads with long walks, ...

... ice skating trips, ...

... and travelling. Here we are at the top of the Duomo in Florence, Italy!

We continued to explore Seattle, Portland, and Colorado during our summer vacation.

By August, we had finally made it to our senior year ring ceremony! Our families came to celebrate with us.

On our way to the finish line at West Point, we took a pit stop in San Diego.

We got engaged in the most beautiful place in the world, Positano, Italy! We couldn't wait to spend forever together.

We finally graduated West Point! Justus finished with a degree in Life Science and was headed to Yale Medical School. Julia finished with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and was headed to be a Signal Officer in the Army.

We spent as much time as we could with family before we started our next chapters.
