How do we get around construction
Coming from south of Duluth, traveling north on I-35:
Take Exit 249 for Spirit Mountain.
Follow the orange detour sign and turn left at the exit, crossing over the freeway.
Follow the orange detour sign and turn left onto the frontage road that parallels the freeway.
Take the frontage road south about 1.5 miles to Ugstad Road.
Follow the detour sign and turn left on Ugstad Road.
Travel under the freeway.
At the intersection with Mountain Shadow Drive, turn left, ignoring the "road closed local traffic only" sign.
Follow this frontage road to the stop sign.
Proceed through the stop sign and follow Skyline Parkway to the main entrance to Spirit Mountain.
Where are you registered?
We are registered at Target, Amazon, Crate and Barrel, and the Knott. You can look through all the stores on our website but if you would like to see them on their respective websites, it’s a little easier:)
What Hotels do you have a block at?
We have a block at AmericInn by Wyndham in Proctor 185 US-2, Proctor, MN 55810.
The rooms are $249 with two queen beds - 1.9 miles to the venue
They do provide a shuttle service as well. Please use 'Sand-Montgomery' wedding when booking to get the correct rates.
We also have a block at the Duluth Inn and Suites Near Spirit Mountain 9330 W Skyline Pkwy. Duluth, MN 55810. The rooms are either two queens for $126 or a king room for $166. - .7 miles from the venue. This should also be under "Sand-Montgomery" wedding.
Please know that Duluth in the fall is incredibly busy. Hotels and AirBnb's are hard to come by. We are working on getting a third hotel block at the Black Bear Casino which is about 20 min outside of Duluth. We are not able to block that off until 3 months prior.
***If you are having a hard time finding a room, please reach out to either of us and we would be more then happy to help you out :)
Is there anywhere to camp?
Yes! There is a campsite right down the road from our venue. Their website opens up on January 15, 2024. The website is https://spiritmt.com/summer/camping/
Please know that these fill up pretty quick. If you are wanting to camp, try and get a spot on the day the website goes live or shortly after. It’s peak season up there so we want to make sure everyone coming gets a spot who wants one😊
What is the attire?
Semi Formal. Ceremony will be outdoors on the side of the mountain. Reception will be indoors. We know Minnesota can be unpredictable when it comes to weather so please dress accordingly.
If we are from out of state, where should we fly into?
If you are coming from out of state, you have the option to fly into MSP or directly into Duluth International. Duluth International is about 15/20 min from the venue and MSP is about 2.5 hours.
Can we stay at a hotel that is not part of your block?
Of course! There are countless great options for hotels in the Duluth area. If you are planning to stay elsewhere outside the block, I would try and book your room ASAP since our wedding is during peak season up there. Hotels are also typically much pricier just due to the season. If you need any assistance on hotel recommendation, please don't hesitate to reach out to me :)
Is there a shuttle to the hotel?
The American Inn in Proctor has a shuttle that will take people to and from the venue!
Are kids invited?
Yes! Kids are welcome to join in our special day. We have added their names to your RSVP (please let us know if we forgot any).
Can we leave our cars overnight at the venue?
Yes! You can leave them overnight and have no specific time you need to go grab it the next morning. You can sleep in:)
