We met in January 2023 through Facebook. Social media isn't exactly the best and most trusting source for well...anything!
After we met, we became "sort of friends" and talked maybe once every 3 weeks. Around April 2023 we exchanged phone numbers and began video chatting once every couple weeks and Joel suggested we pray before hanging up.
Over time the space was less and less to checking in once a week.
By July 2023 we started doing the Sabbath school lesson every Friday night. This led us to many discussions about our thoughts and beliefs on things not realizing we were subconsciously developing a Spiritual connection.
For a year we continued to do the Sabbath School lesson every week and talk and just be each other's good friend.
In July 2024 a year and a half later we met face to face for the first time and things went really well!
....I know the burning question is... "when did you realize you loved each other"

I realized I loved him when I watched him leave to go back home to North Carolina. And so I told him "Thank you for coming to see me, know that there's a girl in Virginia that doesn't just like you".

Now...when I ask him, his answer is "I've been in love with you for well over 6 months" 😂
(He was really good at hiding it!!)...

When I went down to North Carolina a month later he confessed his love for me at the park and told me "I can see myself spending the rest of my life with you". Granted I had told him "I'm not going to just be your single best friend forever"...which he says made him think and later tell me "I don't want another guy to come in and sweep you off your feet" 😉

So we talked about the desire for a future together. 2 months later he proposed and here we are!
Just 2 best friends wanting to spend the rest of their lives together not only as husband and wife but as best friends. The way they started...❤️
