Do you have any pets attending the wedding?

We are thrilled to announce that both of our beloved dogs will be attending our wedding. Named after characters from The Lion King, Nala and Scar are important members of our family. Nala, our 4-year-old Husky mix, will be joining us. Julia picked her out from a rescue in Dodge County with assistance from her future mother-in-law while Joey was on vacation. Julia knew there were several people on the list that wanted to bring Nala home, and luckily she was the last one to put her name in for the manager to review. Julia felt a strong connection with Nala and was determined not to leave without her. She asked the staff at the rescue center if she could write a letter to the manager explaining why Nala should go home with her. Instead the manager spoke to her and the manager agreed to let Julia take Nala home that night. When Joey returned and met Nala for the first time, their relationship had a rough start. One winter morning, Joey took Nala out for a bathroom break, but she got off the leash and darted through traffic. Joey chased after her in his boxers, t-shirt, and Crocs in the middle of winter. After 15 minutes, he finally caught her and carried her back home. From then on, Nala found a special place in Joey's heart. We are also excited to introduce the newest addition to our family, our purebred German Shepherd, Scar. Joey and Julia always knew a second dog was in their future, though they thought it would be after the wedding. However, plans changed. One Saturday in April, after Julia's brother Jack lost his beloved pup, Rocco the family decided to visit a pet store to cheer everyone up. Joey and Julia never expected to leave with another dog, but fate had other plans. Julia's parents and brother left with two adorable 8-week-old puppies, while Julia and Joey brought home a cute 10-week-old German Shepherd named Scar. He was meant to come into our lives at that moment, and it turned out to be perfect timing. Nala has since become a proud big sister. Though he is getting bigger each day, Scar is a true sweetheart and holds a special place in our family. I would encourage if you have any allergies to dogs, please be mindful and take necessary precautions.

Are children invited to the celebration?

While we would love to accommodate everyone, due to limited capacity, we regret that we are unable to extend invitations to children who were not included on the invitation. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you.

Am I allowed to bring a plus one to the wedding?

No, unfortunately, if your name is not on the invitation, we're unable to accommodate additional guests.

What's the story behind your choice of wedding rings?

The journey to find our perfect rings was filled with love and thoughtful gestures. The groom meticulously selected the bride's ring at The Jewelry Center in Greenfield, Wisconsin, personally hand-picking diamonds and resizing it to perfection. With no input from the bride, he crafted the perfect ring that embodies his love and devotion. On the other hand, the bride took the groom to a jewelry center on his birthday, sharing her vision for his ring. From there, the decision was made, and the ring was ordered that very day. It's funny how two different people can come together and find balance in what works for them. Our rings, though small in size, symbolize the immense love we share. Before our engagement, we spent nine wonderful years together, and while a ring wasn't necessary to signify our commitment, these rings now serve as a beautiful reminder of our journey together!

Will you be having a traditional wedding party entrance or something more unique?

We're excited to add some fun and flair to our celebration! Following a grand march filled with entertaining and lighthearted moments, we'll transition into an exhilarating flash mob involving not just the wedding party but all our guests. The groomsmen have a special surprise in store with a karaoke segment, culminating in a lively dance featuring the entire wedding party. Get ready to join us for a truly unforgettable experience!
