Ethan met Julia while working at Starbucks. They worked together for almost a year before he decided to ask her on a date. They grabbed coffee and saw Captain America: Winter Soldier together. The rest, as they say, was history.

What started as a typical Friday Date Night for these two lovebirds ended in one of the best days of their lives. Early on in the week the two had decided to go see the Jungle Book in theaters. Later on, Ethan suggested going to VB's Chocolate Bar in Cottleville after the movie and Julia happily agreed. Date night was set. After enjoying the Jungle Book, the couple went straight to VB's for some chocolatey drinks. Everything seemed typical until Ethan mentioned ordering a dessert to share. After what seemed like a lifetime, the dessert finally made it to the table. It wasn't just a dessert that came out, much to Julia's surprise. Next to the two delicious slices of cake was a silver Zales ring box. Immediately Ethan grabbed the box, pulled out his chair, got down on one knee, and asked Julia if she would do him the honor of becoming his wife. Obviously she said YES and they have been enjoying their engagement ever since!
