We first met on a cold January night in 2012 at an Alpha Phi Sigma Chi skating social. Julia was living it up as a first year starting a new semester and Jeff was a third year in another relationship. As the social went on Julia made friends with Nick Goodfellow, Jeff and her new sorority sisters. Julia was adamant to practice her hockey stop, so Nick and Jeff helped. She wasn't very good and was afraid of falling, but Nick and Jeff still pulled her around the tiny rink super fast! It was scary, but they made sure she wouldn't fall.

After the social, Julia and Jeff and some others went off to Starbucks for a hot drink. It was there Jeff asked Julia if she wanted to taste he "apple thingy"drink (Caramel Apple Spice). Julia at the time did not like Apple hot drinks and kindly declined. The group chatted for a while and the headed home on the city bus.

Little did they know back then what the future had in store!
