Blake Taylor—Gavin and Blake have been neighborhood friends as long as Gavin can remember. They rode mountain bikes, played rock band, and even rode around the neighborhood in wheelchairs for a weirdly long period of time. Blake was one of the four members of this wedding party in Mrs. Lujans kindergarten class and Friendship Church's youth group programs. Blake has earned the Best Man position by being consistent. Blake is always available to play video games, throw frisbees, or mess around in the neighborhood, that is of course, if there are no girls around.
Adam Easton—Gavin and Adam met in middle school on the Prior Lake Mountain Bike Team. Despite the drastic difference in their GPAs, the two have enjoyed a strong friendship. Having spent a considerable amount of time playing Mario Kart, surfing, playing board games, biking, skiing, and most importantly drinking Dr. Pepper, Gavin now thinks Wisconsin is at least a little ok now that Adam is there for College.
Emma — Julia and Emma have been friends for 15 years and counting. Emma first invited Julia to her church (friendship church) in kindergarten. They both grew up attending Awana and growing in their faith in Jesus together. They have stayed connected by consistently communicating through texting, meeting up for smoothies, and many walking dates. Emma has been Julia’s steady encourager throughout the many years. She has been intentional in keeping a close relationship with Julia and continually pointing her to Christ.
Micah — Julia and Micah met in 6th grade and grew their friendship through swimming on the middle school swim team. Later they joined the Prior Lake mountain bike team. There they met Gavin and Adam. Micah is one of the sweetest people Julia has met. She continually builds others up and encourages confidence. One of the many things Julia appreciates about Micah has always been her welcoming spirit and open arms no matter the situation.
Elisa — Julia and Elisa know each other through the Echocardiography program at Mayo Clinic. Elisa’s home is in Arizona but she traveled to Rochester, MN for the 21-month program. With a class size of 12 students, Julia was sure she would get to know her peers well, but she didn’t expect to make such a sweet connection so quickly. Early on, Elisa and Julia connected over their love for swimming and they swim together at Mayo Clinic's gym. Elisa beams with positivity and compassion for others.
