It all started on September 18, 2019! We had both just moved to Boston and found ourselves at trivia night at a local pub called Grainne O'Malley's. We were introduced to each other through mutual friends and both immediately felt drawn to one another. You could say it was love at first trivia night!!! In the following weeks, we had a few group hangouts where we got to know each other more, and we finally set a time to have our first proper date! On October 4th, we sat down at a restaurant called Rosebud, where we ate fried chicken and talked for hours.

Over time, we learned just how much we had in common and how easily we got along. From our taste in music to our taste in food, it really felt meant to be. We ended up quarantining together for 6 months during the pandemic and further learned just how compatible we were. We filled our days with doing puzzles, cooking random recipes, long runs to the esplanade, listening to music from our favorite artists, and binging TV shows we had never gotten around to watching (our favorite probably being Parks & Rec).

Every step sort of naturally presented itself. After the pandemic, it felt right to try out living together in our own apartment, so we spent some time in Brighton on our beloved Carol Ave. We both knew early on that we had found our person and always seemed to be aligned on every decision. After vacationing in San Diego in Summer 2021, we both felt like it could really be a city we would enjoy living in. Around that time, we were also thinking about our future and taking that next step towards spending our lives together.

Everything began to fall into place as we talked about getting engaged and moving to California for an adventure before we tied the knot! After getting engaged in July 2022, we set our sights on San Diego. A few months spent in Cape Cod helped us plan our route, and in January 2023, we hopped in the car and made our way across the country to our new home.

It's been a crazy ride, but through it all, we've had so much support from each other and from our loved ones. We are so excited for this next chapter and can't wait to celebrate with you all!
