Our story starts towards the end of our Freshman year at SUNY Geneseo, meeting in chemistry office hours... & that's where our "chemistry" truly started... (Alright, I'll try to avoid the puns!)

The Summer of 2016, I continued talking to Julian and mentioned that my family planned on going to Lake George for a short- weekend, family vacation. Julian replied, "You know what that means, don't you?... that means I can see you!" No, no actually, that never crossed my mind as a possibility! He lived in Clemons, NY... about a 45 minute to an hour car ride away, depending on summer traffic. So, I told him I hope you understand this is a Calarco family vacation, meaning isn't just a "Julian-Miranda date" type of thing... this means you're getting Frank, Jackie, Miranda & Rascal Calarco... For some reason, that didn't scare him & he met us that weekend! Julian went into all the touristy stores, went to lunch & even rode the Minne-Ha- Ha with us. Julian and I shared our first kiss later that evening on the dock right outside of O'Sullivan's (To be clear, my parents were not there for that moment lol). Julian was even crazy enough to come back to Lake George to have breakfast with us the following day before we headed back home to Maybrook.

Julian & I returned to Geneseo that fall to start our Sophomore year at Geneseo & we started dating September 5, 2016 & have been happily together since!

Julian graduated with a degree in Bio-Chemistry and I graduated with a double major in Biology & Musical Theater (pretty on-brand for me). Those college years, we shared so many amazing memories, sharing our passions and hobbies with each other, which included musicals (lots of singing & shows), hunting (yes imagine me in waders & face paint), fishing, hiking & eating at new restaurants. Our families met, we went on family vacations and shared many laughs & memories throughout the years.

Julian and I are dreamers, hard workers and when we have a goal we are certain to stick to it. With that being said, Julian got his Masters in Chemistry at SUNY Oswego and then moved across the country to Houston, TX and got his MBA at Texas A&M. During this time, I got accepted into PA school & moved to the Bronx to start my medical journey. I graduated from PA school August of 2022. Soon after, Julian surprised me by flying from Houston to NY & proposing to me in Lake George by that same dock where we shared our first kiss...easiest question I ever had to answer!

I can proudly say, we survived and thrived through long distance from 2019-2023, which included many car rides, planes, Uber rides & trips to see each other. So I'm truly thankful for our love, our communication & our unending support for one another, support that prioritized the other's hopes and dreams.

Finally, we ended that long distance by moving to Boston July of 2023 & have been enjoying living together & appreciating every moment we get to spend with one another.

We can't wait to see what the future holds for us, but first... Let's get married!
