Funny Stories We Promised to Share When We Got Married

Jeannie: When Julian was at BEAST (basic training) as a plebe (freshman), we were only able to communicate through handwritten letters and occasional 5 minute phone calls that he would get every 2 weeks or so. I received several calls throughout the first weeks from unknown numbers and because I didn't know them, I would block them. I didn't know that Julian did not bring his own phone and was borrowing someone else's. When I blocked one number he would try to use another only for me to block that new number. I only found out when he sent me a letter a few days later telling me to unblock him and to pick up every phone call that I receive because he only had a few chances to call me. LOL

Jeannie: When we were both in 8th grade, we didn't really talk or interact with one another. We shared one class which was Social Studies with Mr. Haskivitz. Julian and I have the same last name and both our first names start with a J so we were usually called one after the other when he would do roll call. One day, he was doing attendance and after calling our names, Mr. Haskivitz paused and chuckled and said "If Julian Chang and Jeannie Chang got married, Jeannie would become Jeannie ChangChang." The entire class bursted into laughter and we were both really embarrassed because we didn't know one another. Also, my instagram handle at the time was actually @jeanniechangchang so my friends who knew were teasing me endlessly for a few months. Anyway, Mr. Haskivitz was actually right.

Traveling by plane?

If you're flying in, the most convenient airport to fly into is Ontario Airport since it is closest to our venue (25 minute drive). Since it is a smaller airport, it may have higher fares so I suggest comparing with other airports as well (i.e. Los Angeles Airport (LAX)) which may have a slightly cheaper fare but the commute to the venue is much longer.
