Aight So Boom…

My best friend Chris aka “Young Scrappa” told me to come over to his house one day for bible study. Really that means we’re drinking and talking about women. He mentions Nathalie, his boo thang, has her cousin in town from Boston for the weekend and they might come over. At this point I never met Nathalie or her cousin so I thought it might be cool if they came over. Now everyone knows that if you’re meeting a girl’s friend, cousin, sister, aunt or even half niece by marriage for a “Blind Date” it’s always good to ask how they look first or see a picture. I asked Chris and he gonna say, “I face-timed her cousin once but it was dark so I don’t know what she looks like.” Now, how is that supposed to help me??? Also, he said “The cousin has your instagram and she knows what you look like already” as he shrugs shoulders. How is that fair? But, no problem. I told Chris “Tell them to come over anyway. If anything I’ll meet Nathalie for the first time and if I don’t vibe with her cousin I can just leave.” My car got a remote start so I can turn the engine on from his house. He agrees and makes the call.

About an hour went by, while we were waiting for the lovely ladies to grace us with their presence. After reading over our scripture and combing through our bible verses the ladies finally arrived. Chris went to greet them at the door. As he came upstairs to lead them to the living room he gave me a thumbs up. Yup, that was a good sign. I greeted Nathalie and laid eyes on my soon to be wife, Maria “My Jalapeno Hottie” Arzu. I thought she was one fine mamacita. She had a beautiful smile, lips, voice, forehead, elbows and eyes that grabbed my attention as soon as she looked in my direction. After we exchanged hellos I knew it was going to be a good night. We played Uno, games, and talked all night. Me and Maria’s conversations never slowed down one bit. She told me about her job, her family, life goals, spoke about how handsome I was, how I was God’s gift to women, and even spoke about her lowdown and dirty exes. I told her it’s hard being this gifted, spoke about my family, my goals and even mentioned my horrible dating history. We laughed constantly and I can honestly say it was one of the best conversations I ever had.

We spoke for hours, watched movies and even fell asleep on the couch. Now keep in my mind even though the night was great I still thought to myself, “I will probably never see this girl again.” Remember, she lives near Boston and to be honest when Maria asked me “Do you believe in long distance relationships?" I replied, “Uhhhh Nooo”. So, when the time came for me to leave in the wee hours of the morning I didn’t plan on asking for her number. Maria noticed this, looked me in the eyes with those giant whirlpools of love and said “Since you’re not going to ask for my number, I guess I’ll have to just give it to you.” Then she grabbed my phone, typed her digits in my mobile device and sent me on my way. Yup folks I got bagged and I loved every minute of it. From that day forward we grew closer and closer everyday. I’ll never forget that day we met because it was not only random but it was truly special. Maria might remember the night a little differently but….

Let me tell you the REAL story of how we met but first let me give you a little back story of how I manifested Julian before even meeting him…

It all started in the summer of 2018 when I was visiting New York and spent the weekend with my cousin, Nathalie, around July. She was already dating Julian’s best friend Chris and there was 1 night that they were on Facetime, and I asked the typical “Chris you have any friends for me?” and Chris immediately responded with “Julian”. So, I asked Chris what Julian’s Instagram was, and Chris gave it to me so I searched Julian’s Instagram page. When I found it, I was immediately attracted and liked what I saw on his profile picture but his page was private, so that was unfortunately all I could see. I asked Chris what he did for work and where he lived, and Chris told me that he lived in Harlem and worked at a school as a teacher lol. If you know Julian, you know he was never a teacher so thinking back on Chris’ response makes me laugh now.

I returned to New York to visit again on Friday, September 14th, 2018, and again spent the weekend with Nathalie. That night we were at Nathalie’s apartment and we did not have plans to go out but then Nathalie spoke to Chris and originally Nathalie was going to go over to Chris’ house to hang out but told Chris she did not want me to feel like the third wheel but Chris told Nathalie that she could bring me to his house because Julian was there (talk about law of attraction, right?). On our way to Chris’ house, we stopped to buy a bottle of D’usse, because why not? We arrived at Chris’ house, and it was my first-time meeting Chris, which was pleasant. Then, I met Julian, who caught my eye for the rest of the night. We spent the rest of the night playing games, talking, and getting to know each other and ended up falling asleep on Chris’ couch as the sun was coming up. Getting to know Julian that night was magical, as he listened to me tentatively talk about Grad school, working in social services, my family, friends, and my aspirations in life.

In the morning, Nathalie and I were getting ready to leave Chris’ house and I realized that Julian was not going to ask me for my number so I said to him “Since you are not going to ask me for my number, I guess I will just have to give it to you” and I put my number in his phone. We spent the rest of the day texting and getting to know each other some more. Next thing you know, texting for 24 hours turned into us texting for days to follow, weeks, and then months. Next thing you know we begin taking turns visiting each other often, spending our birthdays together, spending our first Christmas together, meeting each other’s family and friends, and the rest has been history. Julian has not been able to get enough of me since and don’t let him tell you otherwise. He loves it here!
