Vinnie had recently reactivated his social media ( instagram) after being off for a few years. We had been friends and knew of each other all through grade school, had mutual friends but were never friends ourselves. He posted his first story since being back on instagram of his nephew who was only a few months old at the time holding a book called Strega Nonna. I hadn’t seen that book since I was a kid growing up at my grandparents. Being that my grandma Josie had passed fairly recently from when I saw this it stuck with me and I felt the need to slide into Vinnie’s DM’s ( messages) INNOCENTLY and tell him what this meant to me. He then followed up by telling me how much he loved my videos of my grandpa that I would take and post and the rest is truly history. A love story based on family, love and tradition.
