Engagement Photos

For our engagement photos, we decided to make the most of our wedding planning trip in March 2024. The stunning Playa Pamilia beach in Cabo San Lucas provided the perfect backdrop for the occasion. It was a memorable evening, full of laughter as we chased the sunset, all while reminding ourselves not to take things too seriously. The evening ended with a beautiful family dinner perched on the cliffs at Cocina Del Mar—a perfect way to kick off our wedding planning weekend. Shortly after, we found our dream wedding venue, and we can’t wait to share it with all of you!

The Proposal Weekend

Austin truly outdid himself with the most unforgettable proposal weekend—it was absolutely worth every second of the wait! On December 8, 2023, he asked me to marry him amidst the picturesque grapevines at Becker Vineyards in Fredericksburg, Texas. Looking back, I can’t believe I didn’t catch on sooner—Austin was unusually quiet during our hour-long winery tour, and his wine glass seemed to empty at lightning speed! When the moment finally came, emotions took over. I cried, he cried, and we all shed happy tears. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any more emotional, my mom and sister emerged from their hiding spot, and of course, I cried even more. We spent the weekend celebrating our love with family and friends, making memories we’ll cherish forever. The trip was filled with amazing wine, dancing, shopping, and late-night Whataburger runs. Honestly, I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect proposal.

Falling in Love

Our journey began in 2018 at the University of Arkansas during a Razorback Football watch party. From the moment we met, there was an undeniable connection, fueled by our shared love for sports and our Texas roots. We spent hours talking, completely lost in conversation as if we were the only two people in the room. And from that day forward... the rest became history. Over the past six years, we've created a life together that feels nothing short of amazing. In 2021, we bought our first home in Houston, marking a new chapter in our story. The following year, our little family grew when we welcomed our dog, Jax, into our hearts. We've supported each other through graduating college, career changes and promotions. Austin has always been my biggest fan—enjoying every meal I cook (or at least that’s what he tells me), while I’m lucky enough to never have to do the dishes. As the years have passed, our love and friendship have only deepened. We are excited not only to become husband and wife, but to continue building this beautiful life of ours, side by side.

CAN I BRING A GUEST? We kindly request to follow your personal invitation guidelines and only bring a guest if a +1 is added to your invite. DID YOU CHECK YOUR PASSPORT? All travelers entering Mexico need to have a valid passport. There is no Mexico passport rule of six months. However, those arriving in the country do need to have at least one blank passport page in their book for stamp. WILL TRANSPORTATION BE PROVIDED? Yes, transportation will be provided for guests staying at Villa La Valencia for all events. If you need assistance with booking transportation to and from the airport, please contact our travel concierge, Daniela Bercerril at travel.takeloveeverywhere@gmail.com ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED? We have decided to send out only a few invitations for your little ones. If they are included in our celebration your formal invitation will be addressed to "The (YOUR LAST NAME) family". We appreciate your consideration in advance on this sensitive matter. ARE THERE ANY HEALTH AND SAFETY TIPS FOR TRAVELING TO CABO? Please remember to stay hydrated, especially if you plan on spending a lot of time outdoors or plan to have more than a few drinks. Use sunscreen to protect yourself from the strong sun. Do not accept offerings of recreational substances from "beach" local vendors. SHOULD I BRING CASH, AND WHAT TYPES OF CARDS ARE ACCEPTED IN CABO? While it's always good to have some cash on hand for small purchases and tips, most businesses in Cabo accept major credit and debit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. ATMs are widely available for cash withdrawals, but be aware of potential foreign transaction fees from your bank. It's also a good idea to notify your bank of your travel plans to avoid any issues with your card. Small vendors, taxis, and some local restaurants may prefer cash, so having a mix of both cash and cards is recommended.

VILLA LA VALENCIA We are thrilled to share that Villa La Valencia is our preferred hotel for our wedding weekend! While the ceremony and celebration will be held at a beautiful off-site venue, we’ve arranged for convenient transportation to and from the venue for all our guests from Villa La Valencia. You can relax knowing you’ll have a ride to the venue and back to the resort after the event. Please note, the Bride and Groom will be arriving on Thursday, 11/13, to kick off the celebrations! *All room reservations must be booked no later than August 15, 2025* We can’t wait to celebrate this special weekend with you!
