Their grandparents have lived across the street from each other for 50+ years, considering each other family. Alessandra and the bride have been inseparable ever since being born just two weeks apart (despite living in different countries their entire lives).

Drew enjoyed a peaceful life until one day in December of 1997 when John showed up at his house.  Since then John was always around and over time grew on Drew to eventually earn his status as Best Man.

The two met in preschool and have been best friends/family since. Leah has been around for every school and neighborhood adventure and the two share an infinite amount of childhood memories together.

Drew first met Connor in 8th grade Spanish class and then after a few more classes together freshman year they were inseparable.  Drew even had the honor of officiating Connor's wedding in 2021. If he couldn't marry Connor, he wanted to at least be involved in the wedding!

Connor Graham

One of the bride's first friends at JMU. The two met in Computer Information Systems freshman year and realized they have so much in common. They even picked similar significant others, making double dates a treat for everyone!

Amanda Kelly

Drew and Chris met through their business fraternity and eventually were roommates at JMU.  Their favorite common interest is running a joke into the ground as fast as they possibly can.

The bride's college roommate-turned-best friend. She's been around through the ups and downs since freshman year (and is somehow still here!).

Catherine Peterman

Drew and Josh met through their business fraternity and became fast friends.  They bonded as neighbors at school living only one door away from each other and have been boys since.

Josh Bolson

The bride's study buddy for all things accounting-related - through undergrad, grad school, and CPA exams. More than that, though, a loyal friend.  Fun fact: Kathleen played a big part in introducing the bride and groom. See the Our Story page for the details!

Kathleen Boenisch

Drew and Peter also met through their business fraternity at JMU.  They share a passion for late night jams and went as couples costumes for Halloween three years in a row.

Peter Cerquone

The two met in middle school and have only grown closer since. The bride's go-to girl for all recommendations, life advice, and a good laugh. Over the years she's become an additional member of the Kates family.

Carolyn Barton

Drew and Brendan met at JMU through their business fraternity where Brendan was Drew's "Big Brother."  Since then they have been inseparable and even were roommates for a quick stint in Charlottesville.  Known to most as the "goofiest and handsomest guys around" they plan to continue to cement that legacy in the future.

Although they couldn't be more different, the two have grown very close being the only female cousins in the family. Gabby always knows how to make Julianna laugh. From vacations, concerts, and countless sleepovers, the two have too many inside jokes to count.

The first time Drew went to visit Julianna's home it was to come up for Jacob's 18th birthday.  The friendship started quickly and since then they've bonded over golf, Miller Lites, and giving Julianna a hard time.  Drew is excited to gain another brother!

Historic downtown York offers a variety of restaurants and shops to enjoy. Some of our favorite places to eat/drink are White Rose, Tutoni's, Prince Street Cafe, Essan Thai, and Mudhook. Be sure to check the website for a full listing of restaurants and shops!

Downtown York

Located in downtown York, Central Market is a historic location with many vendors selling something for everyone. If you're a burrito fan, you must try Roburrito's! (Note: the market is only open on Saturday from 6am-2pm).

The Kates family are regulars at Victor's and the restaurant has definitely won Drew's approval. It's located in a renovated church with an intimate atmosphere. They have a great bar and stellar espresso martini reviews from the bridesmaids.

If you like Dairy Queen's blizzards, Handel's hurricanes are for you. They're Julianna's favorite!

Handel's Homemade Ice Cream

If you're looking for the whole ice cream experience, Perrydell is a fun place to visit. The little country store has tons of fresh, delicious goodies and you can say hi to the cows while you're there!

Perrydell Farm and Dairy

Wyndridge is a beautiful renovated farm featuring their own ciders and beer, craft sodas, a full menu, and breathtaking views. If the weather cooperates, we recommend sitting out on the patio!

The Rail Trail is about 20 miles long and holds a lot of history, making it a great spot to bike, run, or walk.
