Michael and I met on Bumble in November 2018. We texted back and forth for a few days before deciding to go on a date. Our first date was at Basso which I instantly knew we would get along when he graciously offered to finish a dessert beer that was recommended by the server (it was disgusting).
We continued texting and hanging out until February 2019 when he went on a cruise with a bunch of his friends and family. We weren't going to be able to text for a week which I was bummed about. About a week before he left, he told me he bought the wifi package just so he could stay in contact with me on his trip :) After driving back to STL from New Orleans with his parents he drove immediately to my apartment to see me, and asked me to officially be his girlfriend!
We moved in together right as the pandemic started in March 2020 and survived quarantine together.
We have gone on numerous adventures together and created memories that will last a lifetime (Hawaii, Mexico, Canada, Chicago, Florida, South Carolina, South Dakota, Montana, Tennessee, Thailand) and are looking forward to many many more!
In June of 2023 we went on a three week roadtrip to visit Banff National Park and Glacier National Park. While we were in Banff, one of my best friends Maggie met up with us to partake in the adventure. On June 29th, we planned to visit two of the most popular lakes (Moraine Lake and Lake Louise) and Michael very non-chalantly suggested we visit Peyto Lake as well. Peyto Lake was the very end of our day when we were tired and hungry. Michael was insistent on finding a particular lookout that was not crowded. We hiked up a 45 degree angle hill, searched for at least 20 minutes, and discussed giving up multiple times. We eventually found it after splitting up to search different parts of the path as a last ditch effort. The view was INCREDIBLE and worth all the sweat it took to find it. Michael asked Maggie to take pictures of us at the lookout where he got down on one knee and proposed! :)
