Our story begins in Montana on August 20th, 2022 at a Randy Rogers concert at this little concert venue called the "Old Saloon". Both Jake and I didn't know each other at all and it took Jake making the first move of coming up to talk to me to get us where we are today!;)

Jake's take on our first meeting:

There I was enjoying some Randy Rodger’s music when this beautiful curly blonde girl caught my attention from across the way and I couldn’t help but think to myself, I need to go talk to her and in that moment, we made eye contact, so

I did a quick glance behind me to make sure she was actually looking at me! ;) The coast was clear and it seemed like every couple of minutes we would find ourselves looking at each other and they were the most magical moments. I told

my buddy (Yale) “I’m gonna go talk to that girl over there with the blonde curly hair and the gray t-shirt” and he simply replied, like he was working for

Nike, “Just do it” … I mustered up a little more courage and then I walked right up to her and said, “Hey you wouldn’t happen to be single by chance would you!?" She smiled and said, “I am” (thank goodness haha) I got all giddy and smiled and then introduced myself, “I’m Jake” and then

we just got to talking and swing dancing after that!

Julianne's take:

Steph and I met up with our co-workers from the Ranch at the Randy Rogers concert for a staff night out. It was soon into our night when I spotted Jake from across the way and he immediately stood out to me and caught my attention! I was trying to get a read on him to see what he was all about, and this was when we kept on making eye contact back and forth. Then all of a sudden it looked like he was heading straight my way, so naturally I pivoted so that I wasn't facing him directly and tried not to make eye contact until I was certain he was actually coming over to talk to me! He came up and right off the bat asked me if I was single, which I thought was a bold choice, but respected it haha. We chatted a bunch all throughout the concert, and Jake taught me how to swing dance. We danced the night away and the rest is history!:) I just remember coming away from our meeting and thinking that Jake was someone special!:)

We went on to date for a year filled with so many blessings, and lots of prayer along the way! We feel extremely blessed to have found one another and have seen in so many ways the Lord's hand and His beautiful heart throughout our relationship.

We are so thankful to each one of you for the roles you have played in our lives! We are so excited for this next adventure of marriage and are thrilled to celebrate with you all!
