Our Story

Our story!

Our story begins the summer going into freshman year of high school. Brendan and I began texting and developing a friendship. I had always had a crush on Brendan since we first met in middle school but we really only talked through mutual friends. Throughout the summer and fall we began talking on a regular basis and he finally worked up the nerve to ask me to our homecoming dance and to officially be his girlfriend. The rest was history. We spent the next 4 years together holding hands in the hallways and sharing a locker together. Like any high school relationship, we had our good moments and bad but we both felt as if our love was everlasting and stable. These years provided the blueprint for our relationship. It taught us how to love, support, and cherish one another.

When we graduated, Brendan intended on going to Albion to chase his dreams of playing college football while I decided to attend Western Michigan University. When plans changed for Brendan, he decided to come to Western with me; a decision we are both grateful for to this day. Being able to experience college with one another was the best. We learned how to live with each other and balance our responsibility to one another with our commitment to school.

Fast forward to July of 2022. My Dad and grandparents had moved to Oklahoma and I was tasked with cleaning out some of the stuff left at their house. Of course, Brendan was by my side to help and we got the idea that we should buy the house from them. Even though we didn’t end up getting that specific house, it opened the door to us house hunting and game planning for our future. We ended up buying a house in our hometown in September of 2022.

Jumping ahead to June of 2023, I found out I was pregnant with our first baby, Vincent. Brendan and I were both overwhelmed with excitement and joy. We spent my pregnancy nesting and preparing our home for the day our little one decided he was ready to meet us. Brendan supported me throughout this time and showered me with love, affection, and sweet treats (the key to my heart). During this time we lost Brendan’s father, Warren, but his support never wavered and taught us how truly precious life is.

As we graduated and ventured into adulthood, our love for one another only strengthened. We learned, grew, and built a life together, cherishing all our precious memories. Now we stand ready to embark on our next adventure: marriage.

Join us as we celebrate the journey that brought us here and the consistent love that will continue to guide us forward. We can’t wait to share this special day with our friends and family!
