How We Met

Andy and Julianne met while in school together. Andy had been asking around to find out if Julianne had a boyfriend and unfortunately at the time she did, but that didn't stop him from getting her to notice him. During classroom breaks Julianne would follow Andy and ask him questions about his day. He was very quiet and Julianne enjoyed trying to get him to talk. Even though at the time he didn't seem to enjoy talking to her, she later found out that he loved those talks. Over Christmas break Julianne and Andy were texting quite a bit and finally Julianne got the courage to ask Andy to come to a New Years Eve party with her and surprisingly he said yes! At the party Andy and Julianne really connected and the rest is history.

The Proposal

After dating for almost a year Andy bought and engagement ring. And Julianne, being herself, found out he got a ring. See Julianne always would get the mail for Andy, but for two days in a row Andy got the mail. So Julianne asked Andy what came in the mail. Of course Andy was like "What are you talking about?" But Julianne Persisted and asked jokingly if it was something special....like a ring?! Andy of course thought she had found it and responded with "You little snoop! I can't believe you found it!" So that's when she knew he really had gotten a ring. And of course while putting the laundry away one day Julianne found the box, but didn't open it. She waited patiently for months for him to propose. Until finally, one day Andy and Julianne went to Forest Park for a boat ride. Unfortunately, the boat ride was way too long of a wait, so they decided to make the best of it and have a picnic. They counted turtles and drank a glass of wine. Then Andy got up on both knees and asked Julianne to marry him. And of course she said yes!!!! She found out later that Andy carried the engagement ring on multiple occasions and was just waiting for the moment to feel right to propose.
