What should I wear?

Formal but with comfortable shoes! (Tuxedos are optional) Our reception will be outdoors, so we highly recommend our guests to either wear or bring a pair of flat shoes or shoes with a thick heel (thin heels tend to sink into the grass). Due to the season, a pashmina, shawl, or light coat is also recommended. Side Note: The bridesmaids will be wearing dark green shades; The groom & groomsmen will be wearing barongs (traditional filipino attire)

What should we expect for an outdoor reception?

At the venue, we'll have a large tent with sidings to keep the cold out (although early October tends to be on the warmer side in Central Pennsylvania). Please be prepared to walk on grass and gravel at the venue. (and yes, restrooms will be available on-site).

Will the reception venue have on-site parking?

Yes, all parking is self-serve and the lot can accommodate up to 120 vehicles. **We will have two or three designated friends helping out with parking**

Does the ceremony/reception venues have accessible facilities?

Both facilities are labeled as accessible, however, some areas (mostly at the reception venue) will have more grass and gravel.

Do you have a wedding hotel block?

Yes, we have a hotel block set up with the Marriott Courtyard Altoona. We encourage our guests to book under our hotel block as the local hotel prices are much higher due to a Penn State Game pending for that weekend. Please check out the "Travel" section of our wedding website, all the details will be there! Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

What should we expect for the wedding ceremony?

We are having a traditional Filipino wedding ceremony! We expect the ceremony to last about 1 hour. We plan to incorporate the candle, cord, coins, and veil traditions. If you'd like to read about these traditions, feel free to check out this webpage! https://www.filipinowedding.com/blogs/wedding-blog/how-to-incorporate-the-candle-cord-coins-and-veil-into-your-filipino-wedding

Do I need to attend the rehearsal dinner?

The rehearsal and rehearsal dinner will be for immediate family, wedding party members (m.o.h, best man, bridesmaids/groomsmen), and select guests only. We are keeping the guest list small for rehearsal due to limited space at the venue.

Will there be a vegetarian/gluten-free/dairy-free option for dinner during the reception?

We are keeping these options in mind as we work with the caterer on the menu. We will be including a field on the RSVP cards for guests to include any dietary restrictions and/or allergies.

Are you having an after-party?

We are not planning an after-party at this time. If there are any changes, we'll let you know!
