We officially connected in June 2024 after matching on the dating app Hinge but our story was in the works long before. A mutual friend had tried setting us up a few times in the past 10-12 years but the timing was never right. Within our first few weeks of dating we realized that we had many invisible strings beyond mutual friends. Julie's paternal grandparents raised their family in Jackson, MI...the same city that Dan's maternal and paternal grandparents raised their families and where Dan is from. We started to put pieces together that our grandmas played bridge together, our uncles went to high school together, Dan's dad knew Julie's uncle, Dan's mom was Julie's cousin’s cheerleading coach and all 3 families attended Queens Church. These invisible strings are so fun to us and our families. We quickly knew that we had something special!
