Located just minutes from our wedding venue on Port Mouton Rd. this beach will make you feel like you’re relaxing in the Caribbean (until you get in the water because the water is freezing haha).

Summerville beach is another tropical looking beach just 7 minutes away from our venue near the Quarterdeck Resort.

Lunenburg is a quaint town that’s near and dear to our hearts as it’s where we had our very first date! It’s a must see place on your way to or from the venue if you are planning on spending some time around the South Shore. About a 45 minute drive from our wedding venue (1 hour from Halifax), there is lots to do and see in this sweet town- see the Bluenose, take a boat tour, shop and eat ALL the seafood your heart can desire.

An hour and a half from our venue (Port Mouton) and/or 45 minutes from Halifax, Peggy’s Cove is a sweet little village with lots of bustle from tourists in the summer months. If you plan on going to see Ol’ Peggy, take some time to walk around the village and maybe even grab a bite to eat at Tom’s lobster shack (YUM).

Chester, known for their race week every summer, is another quaint little town along the south shore. Shop, eat, golf, rent a kayak to take out on the basin or (one of our personal faves) enjoy the Sensea Nordic Spa!
