My hetero-lifemate since high school!   My best friend who has been there for me through all the laughs and all the tears.  Lindsay is one of my oldest and dearest friends.  We became friends 33 years ago at Bishop England in 1992 where I was immediately drawn to her hilarious sense of humor and outgoing personality.  We always said that we would be each other's maid of honor, so there's no question that this diva has to be right by my side on my wedding day!  Love you, Schlins!

My best friend from back in the day!  Lots of trips to Disney, lots of dance routines, and lots of laughs (especially with Merlin), Carrie is a lifelong friend that I admire so much!  I am so thankful that she is traveling across the country from Portland with her family to be by my side.  Get ready to break out the dance routines, Carrie!

My precious.  I met Melissa back in 2009 when her cousins brought her to my housewarming party.  I was like 'who is this fiesty, hilarious, beautiful and very tall person?'  Needless to say, we immediately clicked!  Since then, we have had many adventures and many good times as well as navigating through hard times together.  Love you, Melissa!  I am so happy that you're going to be by my side on my wedding day!    Bestest slores for life!!  And if anyone messes with me, she will throat punch you.

Pete's OG boo.  From roommates to soulmates, Jason has been the main accomplice in Pete's greatest adventures.  These two together can be trouble, so someone needs to keep an eye on them come the big day!  Their friendship knows no bounds,  and Pete wouldn't have it any other way than to have Jason stand by his side.  He is one of the funniest people you will ever meet but also a genuine and caring person with a heart of gold.  We love you, Genie!!

Jason Robert Myers

A Greek brothership and the reason I know Pete.  I met Pete through his friendship with Pat and their love of comic cons. 
 From his elaborate parties and gatherings, Pat is giving major host vibes.  He even threw us the most amazing engagement party!  He is truly the host with the most, and we hope our wedding will be as good as one of his parties.  You will also get a glimpse of his very talented artistic side on our big day.  While Pat and I may fight like cats and dogs, we are quick to make-up (hey, we can't help it, we are Greek and Italian).  While he may drive me crazy, I love him with all my heart.  Can't wait to celebrate with you, Hole!  

Patrick Cassano 

The man, the legend... whose exploits are recounted in both prose and verse. Whether holding court at ACME or dancing until the wee hours at the Jammer, Jolee has been Pete's closest friend for over 30 years. Often regarded as Mt. Pleasant royalty, Jolee is best known as an ambassador of goodwill, responsible for bringing many of Pete's 'Friend Family' together.

Pete and Brian had unknowingly been in each other's friend circles for years, so it only made sense that they would hit BFF status soon after they finally met in person at a Myer's Christmas party and then again at Dragon Con.
Pete had the honor of being in Mr. "Fielding's" wedding in 2022. Brian also lowkey dominates every party and every cosplay event.  Love you, Freeman!

Artist, bard, and master craftsman.  From D & D games to zoom calls and cross-country trips, Pete and Joey have been friends for over 10 years.  We are so happy that Joey is traveling from New York to be in our wedding!

College buddies, gamers, coworkers, roommates, and life long friends, David has put up with Pete longer than anyone else!  We all know how truly special it is to have a friendship for over 30 years! These two have always had each other's backs which is why Pete is honored to have David stand up with him on this special day.

David Harp 

Affectionately known as Mama C, this woman is one of the BEST people on earth.  She has dedicated her life to making others happy.  This generous and selfless lady made sure that my brother and I had anything that we ever needed while growing up, and she has always been there for us.  She adores Pete (who wouldn't?) and can't wait for him to officially be part of the family!  Thank you for being the best mother in the world!  And also a big thank you to my stepfather, Michael Onufer, for taking care of (and putting up with!) my mother for the past 25 years!  Michael has always been there for me and we just don't know what we'd do without him!  We love you both!  We will miss my father Patrick Cassano who can't be here with us but I know he will be watching from heaven.  The father/daughter dance has always been an emotional part of weddings for me, but I know we will share a dance one day.  Love and miss you, Dad.

This handsome man is where Pete gets his good looks from! John relocated his family from New Jersey to the Charleston area when Pete and his sister Kathryn were very young, allowing them to call the Lowcountry their home. Along with their late mother Mary, John has always been there for his children and 3 beautiful grandchildren. Recently retired, John enjoys spending time on his boat in Lake Marion and traveling the world with his beautiful companion Allie.  He is the sweetest man, and I am so happy that I get to be a part of their family.  Pete's mother will surely be missed on this day, but she will always have a seat at the table in our hearts.  

John Arvanitis 

Kathryn and Pete have always shared a very close bond, which is why I’m so happy that she, along with her husband Brent, has welcomed me into the family with open arms. She is an amazing mother to her three beautiful daughters—Haley, Riley, and Roksi—and a loving fur-mom to two playful golden retrievers and some incredibly cute cats! Kathryn is also an excellent chef who makes, without a doubt, the best spanakopita! We are truly honored to have her be a part of our special day, and I can't wait for her to officially become my sister-in-law!

We encourage everyone to Uber as both the Church and reception are a very short walk from each other. We will have a trolley that will be shuttling guests from the church after the ceremony to the hotel. There is very limited parking at the church, and your vehicle will need to be moved after the ceremony. If you are going to drive, we recommend you parking at one of the following garages:

Folly Beach, the Edge of America, is one of Julie's favorite stomping grounds and provides old school beach vibes - at today's prices! Visit the Folly Pier and it's nearby restaurants for the ultimate day of fun in the sun.

Stroll Folly Beach

The site of the annual Cooper River Bridge Run, a 10k that draws 40,000 plus participants each year, this bridge provides a scenic spot for some exercise with a walking path from Mount Pleasant to downtown Charleston. From water fountain to water fountain and back is five miles.

Walk the Ravenel Bridge

Charleston has many local golf courses for fans of the sport from Patriot's Point to Stono Ferry and Shadow Moss to Wild Dunes.
