Where is the best place to grab a Maryland Crabcake?

If you are looking for a good restaurant to grab a crabcake or have a nice meal by the water, we recommend The Lighthouse in Solomons or Stoney's at Clarkes Landing in Hollywood. If you just want to grab some seafood to go try One-Eyed Jacks in Hollywood.

What are some local attractions we may want to check out if we have time while we are in town?

1. Calvert Cliffs State Park has a great 1.8 mile hiking trail that will take you down to a nice beach where locals go to look for sharks teeth and fossils. 2. St. Mary's City is the first settlement and capital of Maryland and is open for tours and visits if you enjoy colonial history. 3. Point Lookout State Park was home to a Union fort and prison camp for Confederate soldiers. The park also has a nice beach and picnic area. 4. Calvert Marine Museum is located in Solomons and offers a local history of the lives of the watermen who made their living on the waters of the Chesapeake Bay. They also offer boat rides and tours of the Drum Point Lighthouse. 5. Patuxent River Naval Air Museum is located right outside of gate 1 of the Patuxent River Naval Air Station and offers opportunities to explore the history of naval aviation and its influence on the region.
