Sydney Horton - Maid of Honor
Obviously the most important - without her there wouldn't be a wedding website or invitations! As Julie's daughter, she is naturally funny and good looking and could not be more excited to officially welcome Matt into the family. Sydney lives in Kirkland, Washington and is a busy middle school teacher at Sacred Heart in Bellevue, Washington and Advisor to the Gamma Phi Beta sorority at Easter Washington University. Julie very much appreciates the time she has spent helping with wedding preparations.
Jacob Horton - SOB (Son of a Bride)
Jacob has been crowned the ultimate "leatherman." He is, in fact, a multi-tool and I'm sure will have no shortage of things to do on the big day! Jacob lives in Ellensburg, Washington with Libby, his girlfriend and Gunnar, his black lab. He has become a very talented flooring installer working in homes across the central and eastern parts of the state and is always busy lending a helping hand to his family and friends. Jacob is thrilled to see his mom and Matt so happy together and can't wait to toast to a new member of the family!
Megan Martin - Daughter of the Groom
Megan is one of the busiest people around! When she’s not studying Psychology at Northwest University (one more year to go!! But who’s counting😊), smacking (and I mean SMACKING) that little white ball around 18 holes, or spending time with friends, Megan is on stage at Venture Church in Mill Creek, Washington, leading hundreds of congregational members in worship. Megan has a special light about her and is blessed with many gifts and talents. If you’ve not yet met Meg, she will be the one laughing at my Dad jokes and singing along to pretty much anything on the radio! Love you Meg and thanks for taking the time to share our special day!
Taylor Hardie - Daughter of the Groom
Taylor will be arriving for the wedding from the great state of South Carolina! Taylor graduated from Anderson University last December with a nursing degree and is now a full time Emergency Room nurse in a small community outside Greenville, South Carolina. Taylor has always been a wonderfully independent person and one of the best caretakers around. It’s no wonder she is now in the healthcare field. Recently engaged to her fiancé, Mike Lotz (don’t worry, I totally approve!!), it will be one of my greatest honors to walk her down the aisle next April! Love you, hon and thanks for making the trip home for our special day!
Brian Baber - Officiant
The Baber and Horton families have been close since the Babers moved from Spokane to Fairwood 20 years ago. We've made so many lasting memories over the years - family camp trips, swim meets and frequent story telling around one or the other of our dinner tables. Julie has very much appreciated Brian's tech support and home repair services over the past decade and feels blessed to have had him as a positive role model in her kids' lives as they were growing up. He and Matt have become fast friends - geeking out on many of the same things! We look forward to many years of friendship to come and to the words of wisdom the Reverend Baber will no doubt share on our wedding day!
Mike Boyle - Best Man
Mike, aka, the Mayor of Chelan, and Matt have been close friends for more than 20 years. One of the best road trip warriors, Mike and Matt have logged well over 20,000 miles together on two wheels and four. When Mike isn’t tearing up the trails in the mountains around Chelan on this KTM, he’s setting up and tearing down for Matt's band - making them sound far better than they could on their own! Mike is always there for his friends and family and has a heart the size of the planet. We are so pleased to have Mike’s support during this amazing stage in life. Thanks, Brother - love you!
