Our story is a bit out of the ordinary. Kyle and I have known each other for pretty much our whole lives. We were in the same Mother’s Day out group when we were little, attended the same Elementary, Middle, and High School where we participated in band together. We even both went to Sam Houston State University where we studied Music Education and became band directors after college. Kyle lived and worked in Dallas and I in Conroe, but over the summer of July 2021, we rekindled our friendship by taking a fishing trip to Galveston! I have never met someone that loved the beach and fishing as much as I do. We had an awesome trip and caught a lot of fish, Kyle even got stung on the toe by a Gafftop and kept his composure through the pain. What a gentleman! Don’t worry, I went and got him a bandaid. After the trip, it took off from there! We dated throughout the year and we are now both back in town teaching in Sugar Land and we could not be any happier! We are so thankful for our families and friends for trusting our process, and being a part of journey. We cannot wait to get married and are looking forward to sharing this experience with everyone we love!
