When we first met
When Julie first got accepted into UCSF pharmacy school, she was anxious about making new friends, so she planned a few UCSF SoCal meetups during the summer prior to starting school. During this Pasadena pizza meetup is where she first met Nhi. Julie always knew that Nhi clicked well with her, so she made the first outreach attempt after the meetup to establish that friendship.

Pharmacy school started, and Julie and Nhi became friends and would say hi to each other in passing

Julie and Nhi then pledged to the same pharmacy fraternity, and coincidentally became twins within the frat (shared the same big)

Through our fraternity, we gained additional family members (Amenda, their cousin) and the three of us would hang out and grow closer

As time went on, Julie and Nhi became close friends, and would study together or invite each other to hang outs

Amenda and Julie wanted to go to a rave together, and thought it would be fun to invite Nhi so he could enjoy his first rave as well. They searched up "rave in SF" and an Illenium show was happening soon. They ended up going to Illenium and became Illenials after that. This is where Nhi told Julie his feelings for her.

After the Illenium show, Julie thought about what a relationship with Nhi would look like. Eventually the two started dating.

Julie then introduced Nhi to her love of traveling, and the two went on their first travel together - New York City

The two went on their first road trip to Big Sur!

Julie also brought Nhi with her to more music festivals and raves. The two grew to love Illenium, the DJ that brought the two together

At UCSF, students get assigned a rotation site for their practice experience. Julie got placed in LA, while Nhi was placed in Fresno. The two went on one last trip together before having to separate for a year. They explored the Pacific Northwest and Canada!

Julie and Nhi officially graduated from UCSF!
October 02, 2021
The two went on to complete residencies - Julie was in San Diego for her VA psychiatry residency while Nhi was in LA for his Kaiser residency. The two would visit SD/LA every weekend just to make long distance more bearable

After residency and after finding a job, the two then looked for a new home and closed on Escrow on this day. Goodbye long distance!
