We were first introduced through our friends back in middle school and we used to hang out all the time! It was the summer before freshman year that we both realized we had “crushes” on each other and we started dating. Little did we know that we would become high school sweethearts. This year marks our tenth year dating and the year we are getting married!

We decided to go out to dinner at Stack’s and then we were going to go to the movies. After dinner Dan asked if I wanted to walk around and look at all the Christmas decorations that Valpo had put up, but it was fairly crowded so I said we can just head to the movie theater. Once we got to the theater they still had some Christmas trees placed around there and Dan asked if I want a picture since we didn’t get one around the square and I said yeah let’s do it! We took a couple photos and then Dan said to just put it on video so I didn’t have to keep setting the timer. Little did I know that he was going to drop to one knee!
